On May 2013, the Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki IEEE Student Branch organized an educational trip to Swiss, in order to visit the EPFL, ETH and CERM. More than 40 students had the pleasure of meeting researchers and faculty members, being informed of the opportunities to study and work in Swiss.

The Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki IEEE Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE Greece CASS/SSCS joint Chapter organized a visit to Prisma Electronics, a renowned company which employs electrical and electronics engineers. About 30 students had the pleasure of meeting professionals, being informed about the companies’ activities and visions as well as getting guided in its facilities.

Beta CAE and Olympia Electronics

On Thursday December 13th 2013, the Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki IEEE Student Branch, in collaboration with IEEE Greece CASS/SSCS joint Chapter organized a visit to BETA CAE and Olympia Electronics, two renowned companies who employ electrical and electronics engineers. About 50 students had the pleasure of meeting professionals, being informed about their companies’ activities and visions as well as getting guided in their facilities.

BETA CAE Systems S.A., headquartered in Thessaloniki, is a private engineering software company specialized in the development of state of the art CAE pre- and post-processing software systems. The company’s flagship product, ANSA pre-processor and µETA post- processor package, currently holds a leading position in the CAE software market worldwide. For years now this product sets the standards in many sectors, including the automotive, aerospace, motorsports, maritime design, defense, rail vehicles design, biomechanics, energy and academic.

On the other hand, Olympia Electronics is one of the oldest and largest Electrical and Electronic manufacturers in Greece. It is a dominant firm in emergency lighting and fire alarm manufacturing process, as well as Electronic Safety and Security industry and it has been awarded for its innovative business activities many times. The company employs over than 125 people and exports its products in more than 72 counties.

On May 1st-5th 2012, the Aristotle Univ. of Thessaloniki IEEE Student Branch organized an educational trip to Leuven, in order to visit the University of Leuven and the IMEC. About 30 students had the pleasure of meeting researchers and faculty members, being informed of the opportunities to study and work in Leuven.
